The Anesthesiology Department of Gyumri Medical Center operates since the first day the Center was opened. The Department ensures 24 hour anesthesiology service in all surgical specialties regardless of age group in Gyumri and Shirak region.

The Anesthesiology Department was founded in 1991 on the bases of Calouste Gulbenkian Surgical Hospital.

Currently the Department is supplemented by contemporary equipments, medications, devices of anesthesia and artificial respiration, surgical and postoperative monitoring equipments.

Surgeries are performed using general and regional anesthesia.

The staff of Anesthesiology Department includes 6 highly qualified doctors and 11 nurses.
